Although her eponymous label is relatively new to our local shores, Anna Thomas is no stranger to the fashion scene. A winner of the prestigious IWS Young Designer of the Year Award, Anna ventured overseas in 1997 and became Design Director for Max Mara, joining the elite company of Karl Largerfeld, Narcisco Rodriguez, Lutz and many more masterful fashion designers from the luxury Italian label.

With a world full of design knowledge under her belt, Anne returned to her Melbourne hometown in December 2001 with plans to develop her own eponymous label.

In 2003, the Anna Thomas label was born and has developed its own reputation both locally and overseas.
Although the label is known for its expert quality tailoring, the brand has evolved into a true fashion collection. The labels own reputation has grown dramatically in the recent years with the opening of two flagship stores in Melbourne.

Anna has etched her own blueprint in the market in Australia. Her designs are sensitive and with an heir of luxury. The brand has avoided the pomp of the fashion world allowing clients to get intimate with and appreciate the integrity of the label. “It’s about a luxury journey, with its own milestones, we endeavour to be Australia’s leading luxury label for women and we’ll be evolving the brand into other areas as well”

Anna’s approach to design is wholesome and integral. It is instinctive, and driven by several motives including fabric. Working with exclusive Italian mills, Anna evolves product relative to the evolution of fabric trends. She is able to develop finishes, weaves and colours culminating in a unique collection.

The Anna Thomas label responds to the growing need for well made quality clothing that enhances a clean and modern style. The label is founded on classic values and presented in a contemporary manner. The label appeals to a woman who has a taste for luxury and an eye for quality, she has an attitude and aesthetic which understands beautifully crafted pieces.

The label dresses the sophisticated woman for all occassions, with suiting for career dressing and beautiful dresses for special occassions. Anna Thomas is especially renowned for luxury coats in Winter, and knitwear pieces all year round.
