The first Hussy flagship store opened in Darlinghurst, Sydney in 1999 and was followed in 2004 by the second retail emporium within the prestigious Strand Arcade building.

We celebrated the premier Melbourne flagship opening in October 2006 and are now distributed in over 80 targeted boutiques and department stores nationally, including department store giant David Jones.

The business is truly a global operation and we have accounts throughout the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East, Asia and Australasia.

The wide ranging and ever-growing client base is a testament to the longevity of the label, with customers still wearing items from the first collection as proudly today as they were all those years ago.

Everyone has a Hussy story to tell and our customers have had incredible adventures whilst wearing their Hussy outfits.

This has become part of the Hussy folklore and has reinforced the notion that from the beginning, women everywhere fall in love with Hussy, over and over again…

The Hussy label is a highly distinguished and recognisable cult brand with eclectic and unique prints, signature tailoring and a forward-thinking style.

There are three summer and two winter collections annually, with a wide range of fully complimenting belts, boots, shoes and bags. 2006 saw the release of the latest addition to the Hussy empire: a high-end, luxury label entitled Madame Marie which caters to the more exclusive, top-end market. This brand consists of beautifully crafted and exquisitely intricate garments, with unique hand embellishments and a distinctly avant garde style.

Over the past 11 years, Australian Designer and Businesswoman Marie Hatzis has grown the Hussy label from a small, one-woman operation into a highly successful international commodity.

Supported by a tight team of fashion professionals, the Hussy brand has grown from strength to strength.
Hailing from a fashion background with a highly astute seamstress as her mother, Marie acquired the flair for design and eye for detail from an early age.

Her perfectionism is renowned and it is this quality combined with her acute business acumen; that has driven the success and longevity of the business thus far.

Marie is passionate about cultivating and promoting Australian fashion and design internationally, participating in events such as Australian Style in London in 2005 and Aus Style in Dubai 2006. She was voted #36 in the BRW Top 50 Women Entrepreneurs list of 2006 and regularly appears in trade & industry press and on national television.

Hussy was voted the winner of the National Business Award at the inaugural Australian Business Awards in 2006 and is consistently featured in all of the major international publications
