Kerry Scholten took over the reins at Platinum from Lucy MacGill December 2005. Kerry brings extensive business experience to the mix as well as an eye for fashion, having studied fashion design. Platinum is about the styling and supplying of the "Australian Fashion Obsessed" market with the "now" labels, before the international fashion forecasters. Its about being a pioneer - not following others, but doing the impossible, and giving an edge to everyone who experiences Platinum.

Lucy MacGill has stayed on as a consultant, ensuring a smooth transition as well as enabling her to maintain relationships with many of the loyal customers who keep coming back to sample the latest fashions.

Platinum is a retail experience not yet seen in Adelaide, stocking the leading edge labels for the fashion obsessed who can pay for it.

This was an incredible gamble and breakthrough for the conservative, fashion safe Adelaide market. The styling direction added the touch of celebrity glamour and the confidence required to wear "up to the second" fashion in this predictable market.
