About “Samantha Chan”

Samantha Chan is a Sydney based fashion designer who has lived and breathed creativity for as long as she can remember. Samantha completed a Bachelor of Design degree from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales in 2005.

With a multi-disciplinary background in graphics, textiles and environments design, it is her relentless love of fashion that remains closest to her heart.

In 2005, Samantha Chan traveled to Paris and spent the summer at the Paris American Academy developing techniques in haute couture, French draping and millinery. After returning to Sydney and completing a six month internship within the fashion industry, Samantha Chan launched her namesake label with her Autumn/Winter debut collection, “Girl with a Blue Button.”

With a love of natural fabrics, Samantha Chan’s designs are feminine and quirky creations with whimsical details. Her fashion pieces are reminiscent of frivolity and naivety with elements of sophistication.
