ShoeShoe Denmark
SHOESHOE has been rooted in Copenhagen’s renowned creative environment since 2005. Director and fashion designer Ulla Christensen Hentze has joined marketing and concept developers Marie Terndrup and Søren Birkelund to form the SHOESHOE management and development team. Together they create collections of vibrant shoes, boots and accessories on the front lines of fashion.
SHOESHOE launched its first collection in Copenhagen and Tokyo for spring and summer 2006. The powerful yet simple Scandinavian design has since then rapidly launched colour onto urban streets around the world.
The people behind SHOESHOE are involved in every step of developing the shoes and are in touch with all the people working with them. They expend substantial time and effort on participating in production and finding the right materials besides focusing on creative evolution and sales.
Products
From Denmark comes SHOESHOE — a collection of vibrant shoes, boots and accessories. The fresh and simple Scandinavian design is making an impact on streets around the world, as recently seen on Princess Mary’s feet.

For us the essence of SHOESHOE is the innumerable human relationships that arise in connection with striving from an idea to a finished product. These include diverse bridges built between people and cultures, the mutual respect that is generated and the fascination of learning and disseminating this learning throughout the process.
The idea for SHOESHOE originates in the traditional Chinese Gung fu shoe based on its high quality, excellent function and timeless design. Inspired by the Gong Fu shoe, we developed the Scandinavian look that characterizes SHOESHOE shoes and accessories.
The product
All SHOESHOE's products are designed in Denmark. The design team also creates the initial samples to see and feel the function and aesthetics in the products.
Ulla lives in China near the factory, with which she has continually developed a very cordial relationship. Factories in China seldom develop such close collaboration with a small independent design company on the other side of the globe. But the idea behind SHOESHOE and the passion they can sense that we have for the products and creating them has generated this special relationship.
SHOESHOE shoes are formed and sewn in canvas. Each shoe is hand-printed. The rubber sole is not glued on but is molded onto the canvas based on an old tradition.
Experience
If they're good enough for Princess Mary then surely they're good enough for us.
Another example of the Scandinavian super cool gene Shoeshoe is the Danish brainchild of fashion designer Ulla Christensen Hentze, together with the marketing smarts of Marie Terndrup and Søren Birkelund.

SYDNEY: MIE Distribution looks set to perform some fancy footwork at the upcoming Australian Shoe Fair (ASF).
The northern NSW-based importer and wholesaler will launch Danish women's shoe brand 2Shoes into Australia at the trade expo, which takes place in Sydney from February 15 to 17.
With prices averaging around $119.95 and comprising colourful leather shoes, 2Shoes was a new subsidiary of Copenhagen based company Shoeshoe, whose self-named canvas Shoeshoe brand – also showing at ASF – already boasts a small Australian following of around 25 stockists, confirmed MIE principal Hayley Buckner.
"Shoeshoe found there was a market for a very versatile, funky, Danish designed shoe in a leather design as well as their original Shoeshoe canvas designs. 2Shoes and Shoeshoe are a collection of vibrant shoes and boots launching colour onto urban streets internationally."
With average prices around $99.95, Shoeshoe fans included Princess Mary of Denmark, while the brand's 100 per cent waterproof and insulated boots were particularly strong sellers, Buckner said.
It was hoped print media editorials would boost interest in both MIE brands prior to ASF, she added.
"[In Australia] Shoeshoe has appeared in this month's issue of Frankie Magazine, and we have also gained interest from In-Style and Shop Till You Drop," she confirmed.
"We believe Sydney [ASF] will potentially offer fantastic accounts to carry both Shoeshoe and 2Shoes. We are also certainly interested in gaining [business with] a major retailer within Australia."
