VIRGINIE CASTAWAY
After a year trip in Australia, the French designer Virginie Castaway felt like sharing her passion and launched then her own fancy label in 2004.
Sydney has been the greatest place to start it up ...I got swept away by the beauty of the nature over there...and felt amazingly free to express deep emotions within my own creations!
In a nutshell, I would say the label is stylish, elegant, pure, sophisticated and easy-to-wear.
The designer has always been sensitive regarding fabric touch she spends a lot of time looking for sweet, comfortable and good quality fabrics: I’m really much into fluid, light and soft layers.
Clothes should help your body feel free in motion... My view of sophistication and elegance is that you should feel at ease and sexy with yourself. Clothes are made to be the expression of your own personality.

When I start creating a collection, I’m thinking about pretty, smiley, healthy women. I can picture them in their daily life, working, traveling, catching-up with some friends, raising kids, keep on being sexy for themselves and glamorous for her lover.
Well, I hope the collection will meet women’s expectations...Enjoy!!

They add up to the French Designer Showcase, premier international attraction at the March 2008 FASHION EXPOSED + preview fair.
From the exquisite creations of luxury lingerie icons Chantal Thomass and Lejaby, to the cutting edge chic of labels such as Virginie Castaway, IKKS, Cannisse and Syryzya, the showcase will delight with its new season collections for women and men.
The French Designer Showcase follows last season’s resoundingly successful Israeli showcase and March 2007’s equally stunning group from Belgium.
Now in its third season, the International Designer Showcase has delighted buyers eager for distinctive quality labels from abroad. Equally, participating countries have warmly welcomed the opportunity to present some of their top talents in a fresh market.
Participating French labels are: Cannisse, Chantal Thomass, Lejaby, Syryzya,Virginie Castaway, E Com Elegance, IKKS by Kam Otto Import and One Step by Kam Otto Import.
