Our way:
To encompass the whole product life cycle by:
To reduce waste by using pre-loved fabrics and garments, organic fabrics, such as hemp and end of mill rolls.
We go one step further by using entire garments, such as trims and the use all wastage of fabric to create other garments.
Support fair trade; all garments are made locally, we source all fabrics and trims locally.
Use recycled paper, office supplies, advertising materials and packaging.
Reduce environmental impact by using green power, recycle and reuse wastage of production.
Australian made and owned.
What makes us sustainable?
Approximately 900 000 million items of clothing are sent to waste fills every year.
We rescue a small proportion of this clothing and create it into something new and fresh.
Through our brand we want to change the culture of throw away fashion and mass produced fashion, by using pre-loved garments each item of clothing is a unique and individual piece that we encourage our customers to cherish and appreciate.
Cotton is the world’s most sprayed crop, consuming a quarter of all insecticides used each year, using 5% of the world’s available land and using an enormous amount of water. The chemicals used are highly hazardous for for the people who manufacture the cotton.
We use hemp which is disease and pest resistant requiring little amount of pest control.
In the manufacture of clothing and textiles, there is a lot of wastage of fabric, water and paper.
We reuse all fabric, including scraps, cut out garments to make the most of the fabric, we don’t dye fabric and we recycle all paper to have minimal amount of waste as possible.
