The current collection ˜When Darkness Falls, reveals its elegant brooding and sensuality, through its play with volume, fluidity and balance. It evokes a dark romantic quality that is delicate yet powerful, using silk chiffons sueded silk, silk velvets, layers of silk tulle, Austrian lace and delicate embroidery.

About The Designer Wayne Cooper

Wayne Cooper grew up in London’s East End. Despite a strong sense of style and love of fashion, he went to university and completed a law degree. During his early beginnings in a legal career he made a pro-active decision that was set to change his future forever.

Wayne Cooper has shown for the past 10 years at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, which have become must see events, with ranges that consistently provoke a strong critical response. Lavishly styled and produced, Cooper’s shows are a combination of sophisticated technology, original venues and sound tracks. They have traditionally featured the best international models, including Amber Valetta, Linda Evangelista, Alec Wek, Sarah O’Hare, Eva Herzigova and Carmen Cass.

Through his collections and spectacular fashion shows, Cooper reveals a multitude of personal influences and fascinations. Each season pays tribute to a fresh muse, a woman of glamour or charm who embodies the spirit of the moment. Past muses have included heiress Talitha Getty and actress Faye Dunaway, Charlotte Rampling and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Wayne’s Spring/ Summer 2006 collection is currently being shown in London, to some of the most renowned and department stores in the UK. This will be followed by a parade of the collection during London Fashion week on Monday the 19th of September.
The collection ‘WhenDarknessFalls,’ reveals its elegant brooding and sensuality, through its play with volume, fluidity and balance. It evokes a dark romantic quality that is delicate yet powerful, using silk chiffons sueded silk, silk velvets, layers of silk tulle, Austrian lace and delicate embroidery.

Following its showing in London, the collection will be shown in Tranoi, Paris, to be viewed by an extensive range of buyers from all over Europe, New York and L.A.

The collection will be showcased locally at Melbourne Fashion Week on the 26th of October. It is to be a parade heavy with the sumptuous and sensual tone of the collection, styled with the creative brilliance that is typical of a Wayne Cooper show.
